Diliman Videos of the Week (Part 7): U.P. Los Baños Chancellor Luis Rey Stopped

Editor's note: It is not our intention to paint (no pun intended) U.P. Los Baños Chancellor, Luis Rey Velasco, a nominee for U.P. President in an unflattering light. Unfortunately, the only known footage in Youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com)shows Velasco in what may be his defining moment in the eyes of many when he was splatetred with paintballs by U.P. students for his participation in the U.P. Administration's vigorous attempts to deny former Student Regent Charisse Bañez the ability to vote as a Student regent earlier this year on an easily correctible technicality. Moreover, the above does not represent the entire picture of Chancellor Vel;asco, who is a nominee for the position of President of U.P. To get more details about all the nominees, please click on this link: http://diliman-diary.blogspot.com/2010/08/3_30.html and to read their curriculum vitae and position papers, please check the U.P. website at: http://www.up.edu.ph/features.php?i=221

There is also a Facebook page, entitled "No to Velasco for U.P. President," and enumerates several issues against him including the large class policy scheme, militarization of the UPLB campus, red-tagging among others (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cao-as-UP-President-No-Way/150686728282654?ref=ts#!/pages/No-to-Velasco-for-UP-President/144357018937298?ref=ts and http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=380166085348). On the other hand, we are also posting two interviews with Chancellor Velasco regarding the large class scheme to balance the picture:
