Today's Quote: On Sustainability

"In today’s world, sustainability has become a big word. It is often mentioned in the same breath as a few other big words that preceded it – accountability, transparency, stewardship, karma. Why? We have come to realize that the financial bottom line is merely one of several that we must attain. Along with economic goals, corporations and organizations of the 21st Century also look at environmental targets, social objectives and, lately, the well-being and happiness of their own staff. This is what we call the quadruple bottom line. We now realize, that looking only at our own economic goals, is a very narrow approach that closes its eyes to the true cost of running a planet. This world is changing, fast. Are you on board? I hope you are, because this world is your child."
